If you want to use Remote Data Access, you will need to use an up-to-date version of Sage 50 Accounts and meet the needed minimum internet connection speed.
You need to use Remote Data Access; you will need to link the company to your Sage account.


You will need to enter this Passphrase, whoever will need to access the company data remotely. In length, it will be at least 15 characters, and it must contain at least one uppercase and one lowercase character. There is no maximum character length.
You can now access your data via Remote Data Access.

Verify that Remote Data Access is still enabled in User Management by asking the MANAGER user.
Try disconnecting and then reconnecting with the business.
Provide the information if a separate Sage ID for a different user will be used to access the site. Ask the MANAGER to send you an invitation using a different email address if you want to connect it to your user record.

Clear contents of the Collaborate folder

Remove Remote Data Access then reconnect users at the main site

All sites should have a minimum 4Mbps download speed and the upload speed should be 2Mbps for Remote Data Access to work.

Change or reset your My Sage password
Check your firewall, antivirus, and proxy server settings

Check if you are using a mapped network drive
This problem can be fixed by switching to a UNC path if you are using a mapped network drive to connect to company data on a server or other device.
It is a mapped drive if the Data path starts with a letter other than C, like Z.
Change this to be connected using a UNC path if it is a mapped drive.
Try running the Data Service as an administrator
Test by running the data service directly
By doing this it will open a command prompt window that is related to the Data Service running as admin. You don’t have to close this window yet.
Correct the issue permanently
In case you are not sure, then you have to click Browse and then you have to click Advanced. You have to click Find Now and then you have to click Local Service and then you have to click OK and then you have to enter the Windows password.
